Adrian Spawforth
Managing Director, Chartered Town Planner, Chartered Architect
Adrian is a chartered town planner and a chartered architect with specialisms in large scale masterplanning, urban regeneration, leisure and tourism schemes and strategic land promotion. As managing director of Spawforths he is responsible for many of the practice’s largest projects although he still remains closely involved with a diverse range of smaller urban design, planning and architecture schemes if they are particularly complex.
Adrian’s past and present clients include a diverse range of private developers, local authorities, registered providers, landowners and Homes England. The experience this brings with it, allows him to effectively facilitate often complex negotiations involving a wide range of regeneration, masterplanning, planning and development issues as well as assist in Section 106 agreements and act as an expert witness at public inquiries.
Away from work, Adrian is a keen swimmer, model maker and technology “nerd” and is a passionate champion of both self-build and custom-build as a partial solution to meeting some of the nation’s housing challenges.
