Chartered Town Planner
Kate is a Chartered Town Planner with over 8 years of private sector experience in Yorkshire, the North West, and London. Kate joined Spawforths as an Assistant Planner, gaining experience as an independent practitioner and providing support to the Planning Team across a wide range of commercial, residential, and mixed use developments for a diverse client base. As a Chartered Planner, Kate now manages smaller schemes from preparation of planning strategy though to negotiation and post-consent matters. Kate has particular experience in niche planning consents and complex post-consent works, including managing the discharge of conditions, Permitted Development Rights and Advertising Consent, Non-Material Amendments, Section 73 Applications, and Community Infrastructure Levy procedure.
In addition to independent projects, Kate continues support the Planning Team during major planning applications, including through the preparation of planning documents, undertaking research and analysis, and coordinating submissions. Kate also supports the Environmental Impact Assessment Coordinators to prepare EIA documents and ensure consistency between planning and EIA submissions.
