Blackpool Central
Spawforths submitted the planning application for an urban renewal and conservation project in Blackpool. The scheme compromises three heritage buildings at the corner of our Blackpool Central Master Plan.
The scheme includes a full planning application for the refurbishment of the existing King Edwards Public House, the redevelopment of the Grade II listed King Edward Picture House and the refurbishment of the King Edward Apartment buildings. The public house will remain in its existing use, with the addition of holiday accommodation at upper levels. The picture house is to be refurbished into an Artisan Market Hall. The King Edward Apartments being refurbished and brought back into use as an apart-hotel. When complete we are hoping the scheme will become a vibrant hub for the whole site and will attract visitors day and night!
