Masterplan Frameworks

Many larger sites identified and allocated within an LDF or Local Plan may have a policy requirement for the promoters and developers to prepare a masterplan framework prior to submission of the first planning application.  The purpose of these policy requirements is to ensure that major sites are brought forward in a comprehensive manner with infrastructure conceived and designed and delivered in a phased and planned way.

The masterplan frameworks we have prepared over the last few years have also included a full consideration of many of a site’s technical requirements, viability, design quality and phasing issues, as well as the core themes of land use distribution, development quantum and phasing. 

Due to the complex nature of these frameworks, we will often coordinate an extensive in –house team as well as a wider range of external consultants that complement and expand our own skill sets.
