Dewsbury Riverside

Spawforths developed a masterplan for a residential-led mixed use urban extension to South Dewsbury to regenerate the area and bring a new mix of tenure and house types . We then embedded this into the Kirklees Local Plan  as its largest Strategic Site allocation and then delivered a Masterplan Framework which was fully endorsed by the Planning Inspector at EIP.

Our integrated Planning, Masterplanning, Environmental Assessment, Landscape, Architect and Stakeholder teams worked cohesively to address significant technical and environmental constraints to bring forward this exciting urban extension, which will deliver up to four thousand new homes, an Urban Park, educational and community facilities as well as a retail offer.
