Welcome to Lisa Matthewson

A massive welcome to Lisa (far right) who has joined our development management team this month, completing our 2019 recruitment plan for for this team.

Lisa is an Associate Chartered Town Planner at Spawforths with over 19 years experience in the public, private and developer sectors. Lisa has previously worked as a Principal Planning Associate at a national specialist housebuilder for over 10 years and more recently as a Senior Planning Manager at a national housebuilder based in their Regional office in the North West. She started her career at local authority before moving to private consultancies in the Midlands and North West respectively.

Lisa has gained significant knowledge and experience working across a range of sectors including residential, leisure, retail, mixed use, commercial and the retirement sector. She has been involved in all aspects of the planning process including undertaking appraisals, submission and negotiation of planning applications, public engagement and negotiation of S106 agreements. She has also represented clients and given evidence at a number of planning appeals.

Outside of work Lisa enjoys cycling, both in the UK and abroad, walking and spending time with friends and family.
