Reserved Matters Approval for 80 Dwellings at Carrington Avenue, Barnsley
Spawforths, on behalf of Miller Homes has obtained Reserved Matters approval from Barnsley Council’s Planning Regulatory Board for 80 dwellings on the 27 September 2016.
Spawforths successfully resolved a number of design issues due to the sites proximity and relationship with neighbouring properties and the railway line which has resulted in a high quality residential development.
Spawforths undertook community consultation with local residents and Ward Members prior to the submission of the Reserved Matters application with comments incorporated into the final design of the development.
The approval includes a centralised area of public open space, landscape buffers to the boundaries, and a commitment to the delivery of a Local Equipped Area of Play on land adjacent to the 2.6 Hectare site.
The residential development will comprise of 80, 3 and 4 bedroom detached, semi-detached and terraces. An off-site public open space and education contribution totalling £191,657 will be secured once an agreement with the Council has been signed.
Miller Homes will be starting construction on site later this year following the discharge of a number of pre-commencement conditions which Spawforths are co-ordinating.
