Opening of Phase One of The Hepworth Wakefield Garden

Spawforths' Development Management team are delighted to see the opening of Phase One of The Hepworth Wakefield Garden.

Spawforths provided Planning Advice and Services to secure Planning Approval for the Garden in February 2018 alongside The Hepworth Wakefield team and Tom Stuart-Smith. We hope that the garden continues to grow the cultural offer within Wakefield and the regeneration of the River Calder Area of the city which began with The Hepworth Wakefield gallery.

The gardens were designed by internationally renowned garden designer Tom Stuart-Smith, who transformed the previously unused land into a beautiful free public garden. The garden will house a rolling programme of outdoor sculptures, events and special commissions and will be free for all to enjoy.
