Kingston Village - 900 new family homes in Newcastle
Kingston Village - Masterplan Framework and Design Code
Banks Property is looking to create the new "Kingston Village", a multi-million pound development of around 900 new family homes on a 49-hectare site to the west of Brunton Lane which was allocated for housing in the 2015 Newcastle & Gateshead Core Strategy and Urban Core Plan.
Spawforths Masterplanners have prepared a Masterplan Framework and Design Code for a 900 home Neighbourhood Growth Area to the North of Newcastle.
The Masterplan Framework outlined the development concept seeking to create a new village green around which the new homes could grow. The document indicates how a successful place would be created through the creation of movement, ecological, green space, land use and place making frameworks.
The document also included a design code which outlined the site-wide and neighbourhood elements to be considered to create unique character areas which support the creation of a fantastic new place.
The Kingston Village document seeks to provide Newcastle City Council with confidence to support the document whilst allowing flexibility within delivery to suit the aspirations of the client and future housing developers.
