It’s a hat-trick for Spawforths and Miller Homes!
What a fantastic couple of months at Spawforths and our client’s at Miller Homes (Yorkshire)! Working collaboratively we have secured permission for 328 dwellings across three sites within Leeds and Kirklees.
The approval of full details at Boston Spa for 88 new homes follows the Secretary of State’s decision to allow an appeal on the same site in 2016. Spawforths advised Millers on their planning strategy and David Rolinson, Chairman of Spawforths, gave expert evidence at the Public Inquiry. At the time the decision was a “test case” for Leeds housing policies and housing supply and the Secretary of State’s endorsement of our position paved the way for other similar appeals.
The Kirklees’ approvals, secure the first phases of the urban extension at South Dewsbury for 4,000 dwellings. The two schemes will deliver 240 new homes at Dewsbury Riverside, to kick-start the regeneration and urban renaissance ambitions for Dewsbury through the creation of housing to generate transformational change.
