Volunteers Week 2026: Giving Back to Our Communities

Published On: June 4, 2026Categories: Team Updates

This Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating our team’s efforts in supporting their local community and causes they care about.

David Rolinson is a regular volunteer for the Working with Walton community group, which organises events in the village. He is also a regular volunteer at the Waterton’s Wall group, who are restoring a significant listed wall around the world’s first nature reserve.

Daniel Kinghorn takes on the role of Non-Executive Director for the Peak District Rural Housing Association which build and manage safe, comfortable, and affordable homes for local people.

Sabrina Soar is a Brownie leader with Girlguiding & Girlguiding North East England, organising weekly meetings, events, and trips for her unit. She is also taking on a new challenge of re-opening a Guide unit this year to give more girls the opportunity to take part.

Christopher Anderson volunteers at his local parkrun in Dewsbury, helping with marshalling and pacing. He also takes part in a running club, where he takes part in volunteering for takeover events.

At Spawforths, as part of our CSER strategy, our team are able to take a day to volunteer with a cause of their choice. As part of this, Niall Carroll recently spent a day with FareShare Yorkshire, which tackles food insecurity and works to reduce food waste across the region.

Happy Volunteers’ Week to everyone making a positive impact, both within and beyond the office!
