Enviromental Assessment

Phase One

Spawforths successfully promoted the site through the St Helens Local Plan in parallel with preparing phased planning applications to bring forward a total of 2.5m sq.ft. of employment development. Spawforths secured outline planning permission at a Call In Inquiry in 2011 for B8 uses on Phase 1. Two reserved matters applications have been approved by the Council in relation to Phase 1 in March 2024 with work expected to start on site in Q4 of 2025.

Phase Two

A Phase 2 hybrid planning application has been submitted and is now pending determination and will secure permission for advanced manufacturing and logistics uses. This will deliver high quality jobs for local people as well as maximising the strategic potential of the site.
