Rotherham Call for Sites

Published On: June 24, 2026Categories: Events

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has launched a new Call for Sites as part of the preparation of its emerging Local Plan, which will replace the current plan (2013โ€“2028) and help guide growth and development across the borough into the 2040s.

Landowners, developers, businesses, community groups, residents and other interested parties are encouraged to submit sites for consideration across a broad range of potential land uses, including housing, employment, retail and leisure, community infrastructure, environmental enhancements and renewable energy.

The Call for Sites is an important early-stage evidence gathering exercise that will help inform the emerging Local Plan and identify land that may be available for future development opportunities.
