Planning Approval: Newark Care Home
Spawforths are pleased to have supported Torsion Care in securing planning permission for a new specialist care development in Newark, boosting much needed supply in an area of growing demand.
Providing contemporary, energy efficient homes for older persons which allows them to stay within the community is an important challenge which grows with our aging population. Working Torsion Care and other clients, we are proud to be a part of the teams tackling this important need in our communities.
Torsion Care said:
“We’re delighted to confirm that planning approval has been secured for our latest care home development at Walker Close, Newark.
This 66-bed, three-storey scheme will deliver high-quality, specialist care accommodation in the heart of the community, helping to meet growing local demand.
Set within mature landscaping, the design has been carefully developed to reflect the surrounding area while providing a modern, high specification environment for residents and staff.
Sustainability remains a key focus. The scheme is targeting EPC A and aiming to achieve BREEAM New Construction Excellent and In Use Outstanding through a fully electric design, reinforcing our commitment to long term environmental performance.
This milestone would not have been possible without the support of a fantastic consultant team.”
