North East Derbyshire Local Plan Issues & Options Consultation Now Open!

North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC) has launched an Issues & Options (Regulation 18) Consultation as part of the preparation of its new Local Plan, which will guide development across the district for the period 2024–2044.

The consultation focuses on the strategic approach to the location of development and refined site options, helping to shape how growth will be distributed across the district. While housing and employment needs are not being consulted on at this stage, the emerging evidence base is currently based on:

  • 605 dwellings per year (approximately 12,100 homes between 2024–2044) using the Standard Method;
  • 15–31 hectares of employment land.
