Spawforths to discuss Castleford Regeneration at RTPI Event
On 5 July 2016 Spawforths will be speaking alongside Wakefield Council Members and Officers about how well positioned Castleford is for growth and the plans for its future. This seminar will consider the town in the context of wider regeneration proposals for the Aire Valley Corridor and The Five Towns, exploring issues associated with politics and the economy which mean that the successful transformation of Castleford will need to be a "long game". Appeal Success in Stockton on Tees
Coming only one day after securing appeal success for the most important housing decision in Leeds since the adoption of its Core Strategy, Spawforths has advised Tithebarn Land on its successful planning appeal for residential development of land off Harrowgate Lane, Stockton-on-Tees, granted following a Public Inquiry on 9th June 2016. Secretary of State allows “test case” Leeds housing appeal in light of Spawforths evidence
On 8th June 2016, the Secretary of State allowed an appeal by Millers Homes for 104 dwellings at Boston Spa in Leeds. Spawforths have advised Millers on their planning strategy and David Rolinson, Chairman of Spawforths, gave expert evidence at the Public Inquiry. Read more
Leeds Skelton Lake Services, Junction 45 of the M1, Leeds
On behalf of Extra MSA Group, Spawforths have submitted an outline planning application for a £50m ‘new concept’ Motorway Service Area at Junction 45 of the M1 in Leeds. Leeds Skelton Lake Services will address road safety deficiencies on this section of the Motorway Network, creating up to 700 new jobs for local people, together with a range of significant economic, social and environmental benefits. Successful Community Consultation Event in Wakefield
On the 20th April Spawforths held their third Exhibition with Bridge Homes LLP. The event took place at Standbridge Community Centre where the Spawforths team updated the local community on the proposed residential development of 44 dwelling on the land off Standbridge Lane. The team would like to thank all that attend and engaged with the process. The planning application for the site will be submitted this summer to Wakefield Metropolitan District Council. Read more
Proposals for 96 houses at former Redcats site approved
A residential scheme prepared by Spawforths Architects and Bridge Homes, for the former Redcats Site, Horbury Road, Wakefield was approved today! The site will bring forward 96 new houses, 30 percent of which will be affordable. The proposal includes a mix of Traditional and Contemporary dwellings within the setting of the City of Wakefield Golf Course. Read more
Vision 2020 - Build to Rent
David Rolinson, Chairman, Spawforths will be chairing the FBE Vision 2010 - Build to Rent event on 27 April 2016. The event will focus on student accommodation and the private rented sector (PRS) market and will include speakers in the development, regeneration, construction and investment, design and architecture sectors.
