The Brief

The Carrington strategic landholding is the largest single ownership development opportunity in Greater Manchester consisting of 1,665 acres of former Petrochemical plant and agricultural land, representing a major strategic opportunity within Trafford and Greater Manchester.

The Outcome

Spawforths have secured a hybrid planning permission for up to 500,000ft2 of employment floor space (B1/B2/B8) including new accesses of Manchester Road on part of this land to kick start the regeneration of Carrington and deliver much needed news jobs.

Spawforths, working closely with key stakeholders and the Council, have now also secured Reserved Matters approval for the first phase of employment development which comprises six units with a total of 218,884sq.ft of employment floorspace, along with a high quality landscaping plan and internal road layout.
